We are FIRST Robotics Team 4330 Rambunction! Every year we design, prototype, build, and test a robot to compete in FRC competitions. We first competed in 2011, so this is our seventh year in the running! Our team has been growing in size since our founding, and currently we have almost a hundred high schoolers on or interested in joining the team!
Since we began our journey in FIRST, we've won a few awards. In 2015, we became alliance captains for the first time ever, and even beat out the competition and led our alliance to the finals! In 2016, we took first place at the Saint Louis regional competition and had the opportunity to compete in the international championship, known as the FIRST Championship, for the first time in our team's history. This past year was rough on us since we had our working space in the shop cut in half (due to temporary classrooms being built in the auto shop). However, we experimented with new mechanisms and technologies we hadn't tried extensively previously, like a reservoir and shooter for balls, or LiDAR technology to map the robot's surroundings. Although many of these didn't make the cut onto our robot, we still made it into the elimination rounds, and more importantly, we learned tons from our experiences so that we can build an even better robot this year!
From late October to before build season begins, we meet every Wednesday after school from 2:30 to 4:00. Once build season starts, we meet every weekday from 2:30 to at least 5:00.
